· A positive attitude and approach to life
HOW DOES DRAMA INCREASE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND INCREASE WELL-BEING?
It enables students to explore emotions and understand how emotions affect decision making
It helps students to understand how people convey emotions physically and vocally
It encourages students to develop empathy and understanding of other people
It empowers students to become more self-aware
The main aim of the Drama Kids York Drama programme is the self-development of children through the medium of drama. It encompasses an exciting, carefully crafted curriculum and allows children to develop ongoing confidence and verbal communication skills: the vital life skills young people need in an ever-changing world.
Every child is unique at the Drama Kids York Drama Academy. All students are treated equally and given the opportunity to shine, regardless of their level of confidence or ability.
With a focus on personalisation, each teacher at the Academy seeks to gradually integrate their students within the group until they are fully immersed in the fun classroom environment and unaware of any inhibitions they may have had before joining the class.ES
